Girard

On Trumbull County’s southern border, Girard is an easy-to-navigate town with an open, welcoming atmosphere. 

Outdoor adventurers can find walking trails at Girard-Liberty Memorial Park, and Tod Park’s fields, courts, facilities and trails create the perfect recreational environment for the entire family year round.

One of the oldest remaining buildings in Girard, the Henry Barnhisel House, shares tales of community and family history. The 19th-century mansion once served as a home for some of the area’s earliest residents and is now home to pieces of the town's history.

Dance lessons and themed nights bring those of all ages together at Avon Oaks Ballroom. The more than 100-year-old ballroom offers classes in the waltz, swing, cha cha, samba and more, as well as open-floor nights for dancers to let loose on the dancefloor.

Jib Jab Hot Dog Shoppe serves up burgers, fries, shakes and, of course, hot dogs. Down the road, Margherita’s Grille creates great food from fresh ingredients.
