The old-fashioned red and white striped Chautauqua tent returns to Warren for five days. This year's theme: "The Natural World".

Each evening trained scholars/performers will present exciting, living history performances beneath the huge tent as they explore the lives and legacies of several different individuals who provide diverse perspectives on the theme.

Featured historical characters for 2017 include: Nobel Prize winner, Marie Sklodowska Curie, played by Susan Marie Frontczak; prominent leader of the Shawnee nation, Chief Cornstalk, played by Dan Cutler; English novelist Mary Wollstonecraft, played by Susan Marie Frontczak; American statesman and 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, played by John Charles Chalberg; and American zoologist, primatologist and anthropologist, Dian Fossey, played by Dianne Moran.

Daytime programs for adults and youth complement the theme with hands-on activities, storytelling, discussion groups, lectures and exhibits.
