The Butler Institute is the first museum of American art. Its mission is to preserve and collect works of art in all media created by the citizens of our country. The original museum was dedicated in 1919 and is a McKim, Mead and White architectural masterpiece listed on the National Register of Historic places. Known worldwide as “America’s Museum,” its collection exceeds 20,000 works of art including, Norman Rockwell’s 1965 painting Lincoln the Railsplitter and the 1872 painting Snap the Whip by Winslow Homer. In addition to its main location in Youngstown, the Butler also operates a satellite facility in Trumbull County.

The Trumbull branch includes exhibitions of contemporary master painters and sculptors and also focuses on notable international artists whose works have influenced America. The latest addition to the gallery’s permanent collection is 14 May 1968, a 14 by 20-foot mural by the renowned French artist Pierre Soulages that is composed of 294 individual hand-formed ceramic tiles.

Located next to Eastwood Mall, this facility features a 30-foot high, 132-foot wide inflatable dome that offers show configurations from 10,000 to 60,000 square feet and can accommodate multiple shows at one time. It is used for special-interest consumer shows including concerts, sporting events, home and garden shows, wine-tastes, and large receptions and parties.

Located in the hospital’s north lobby and managed by Trumbull Area Artists (TAA), this rotating exhibition features works by area artists.

This 40-man musical group performs the American art form of barbershop harmony. The Chorus performs musical selections from 1900 to the 1980s and produces two major shows annually. Throughout the year the group can be found performing a selection of timeless classics, jazz and blues, show tunes and contemporary songs at a variety of area events including the annual Packard Museum Car Show in July.

This group provides educational and entertaining activities, including its Medieval celebration of Christmastyme, held annually at the beginning of December. Period costumes and musical instruments, as well as songs from the 15th through 17th centuries, drama and an authentic dining experience help recreate the mood of a madrigal celebration.

This gallery sponsors various exhibits throughout the year. Visitors to the TAG Gift Shop will find artwork, fine crafts and specialty items made by local artisans available for purchase. The gallery also offers both children and adult art classes in a variety of media.

Celebrating over 60 years of service to the local area, this community theater showcases live stage productions with local acting talent. This intimate playhouse seats 172 people in 10 rows.

For over 30 years, this educational cultural organization has brought nationally and internationally acclaimed lecturers to the Trumbull County area. Each year four different speakers, including notable performers, authors or public figures, inform, educate and entertain the audience at the Packard Music Hall.

More commonly known as the “Pride of Warren since 1955”, the band offers a free monthly concert to the local community throughout the year. During the winter, concerts are held inside the Packard Music Hall. In the summer, the concerts are performed outdoors on the south lawn.

This versatile public assembly facility, which is owned by the City of Warren, is the center for cultural and entertainment programs in Trumbull County. With 7,000 square feet of space, a seating capacity of nearly 2,500 and a permanent stage, this venue is host to a number of events ranging from theatre, ballet and concert productions to gala balls, dance recitals and high school graduations as well as trade and consumer shows. Packard Music Hall is also home to several local organizations, including the W D Packard Band, the Warren Civic Music Association and the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra.

This organization is the oldest community arts organization in Trumbull County. Located on the banks of the Mahoning River in downtown Warren, this outdoor amphitheatre is one of Trumbull County’s newest entertainment jewels. With seating for over 3,000 and its Riverwalk Stagehouse, this multi-purpose public venue features everything from local bands and nationally-renown groups to concert performances and outdoor movie screenings.

This youth concert band performs music in the tradition of John Phillips Sousa and provides music education and enrichment for its members, families and audiences. Concert rehearsals and performances take place year round and the band performs locally during holiday concerts and at its annual spring concert. In the summer it performs for outdoor park concerts, parades and field shows.

This 20,000-square-foot dance hall, which was built in 1927 and opened in 1928, is a reminder of the 30s and 40s Big Band era when famous musical groups such as Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller played here. The largest dance hall in Trumbull County, it is still the site of concerts and special events.
